{"id":1865,"date":"2019-07-23T14:55:56","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T22:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wonghoi.humgar.com\/blog\/?p=1865"},"modified":"2025-07-23T23:20:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T07:20:20","slug":"data-precision-8200-repair-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wonghoi.humgar.com\/blog\/2019\/07\/23\/data-precision-8200-repair-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Precision 8200 Repair Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just bought a big lot of Data Precision 8200 and some Analogic AN3200 DC Voltage\/Current Calibrators with a bunch of hard to find (unobtainium) genuine parts (relays, switches, hardware, regulator and amp ICs, whole modules, transformers) with Analogic&#8217;s &#8220;Unscheduled Material Issue Request&#8221; forms, so I believe these are new leftover parts from the manufacturer&#8217;s repair facility.<\/p>\n<p>That means I&#8217;ll have all the materials needed to service and upgrade Analogic \/ Data Precision 8200 that you are unlikely to be able to find elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Common Problems with this unit (the repair doesn&#8217;t change calibration):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100V range do not output the same voltage consistenty<\/li>\n<li>Glitchy dials and rotary encoders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Data Precision 8200 is the official unit to field adjust TDS 500~800 series oscilloscopes as the automation software (GPIB) was hard-coded to this model. Nonetheless, I find it a reliable reference for verifying oscilloscope performance and adjusting my multimeters as well.<\/p>\n<p>Call me at 949-682-8145 for a repair quote or if you are interested in buying a unit.
